New Harvest Community Church is a Christian Church, founded in 1991, based in Brentwood and attracts a congregation from all over Essex and beyond!

Our aim is to provide both practical and spiritual help to you and our community. You can visit us any Sunday morning at 10.30am. Someone once described us as "church as you have never imagined it". We offer a friendly totally unconditional welcome to everyone, Christian and non Christian, young and old, rich and poor, from every race and ethnic background.

NHCC is one of the so called "new churches" born out of a move of the Holy Spirit in Charasmatic Renewal in the early 1970’s. Our services are relaxed and friendly and cater for everyone, from babies to adults.

Many people say they have found God’s grace here and experienced acceptance and healing.

I have been married to Mary for 38 years and have four grown up children. Together we founded and pastored the first house church in Ireland. Our marriage coincided with the outbreak of the violence in Northern Ireland and I have been involved in seeking to bring peace and reconcilliation to our trouble community.

I have been Senior Pastor of New Harvest Community Church since 1991. I have a particular love for the Gospels alongside praying for the sick and helping people.

It is a particular joy of mine to be intimately involved with Catholic Charismatic Renewal and reconcilliation both here in the UK and abroad. It is also a great privilege to work with the back township churches of South Africa, overcoming prejudices and bringing white and black together.

What We Believe

We ascribe to the traditional creedal statements such as the Apostles' Creed. We are members of the Evangelical Alliance and therefore subscribe to their statement of faith.

However, to put it simply, we believe that God is our loving Heavenly Father who sent his own Son Jesus to die for our sins and obtain salvation for us. The Holy Spirit is given to us by the risen Jesus Christ to convict us of our sin, lead us to our Saviour and daily fill our lives with the presence of Jesus.
